Time Out says

If you’re looking for an alternative thing to do that combines the music element of clubbing and wellness, Immersion could be the event for you. Held at Wild Pearl Studio, Wild Pearl’s latest and bigger venue in Pearl’s Hill Terrace, on September 5 from 6.30am-9am, this sober rave is for the early risers, electronic music heads and wellness enthusiasts.

Created by the founders of two local music collectives, Yes You’s Nick Levanic and Wild Pearl’s Chris Shearmon, the concept for Immersion takes inspiration from sober raves that are popular in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Many factors bring Chris and Nick together – they go to the same gym, Chris’ social circles are becoming more fitness inclined and he stopped drinking last year. Nick has also collaborated with Amanda Ang, or AKA Sounds, booking Madam X at Moonstone earlier this year, who inspired the trio after seeing Madam X play at sober raves in New Zealand – and AKA Sounds will be DJing at Immersion. It’s no surprise they want to bring all these factors together for what they love – nightlife and wellness. Chris describes Immersion as “basically Wonderfruit’s Solar Village with a trip to the wellness area in between DJs.

“We believe many people in the scene would welcome a healthy alternative to experiencing club music, and we anticipate welcoming back OG’s of the DJ and party community who now have families and other responsibilities which keep them from going out late at night,” shares Chris with us.

Other than great electronic music to look forward to, Immersion will feature cold plunges to give the crowd a dopamine boost, supplied by ThriveX, a health and wellness brand focused on next-level recovery equipment, and free flow of herbal elixir tea and coffee by Boujee Botanicals. Gather your friends, bring a towel and get your tickets here.
