Celebrate food and fashion with Broadway Sydney’s new art installations

The Fusion Art Series on level two (L2) of Broadway Sydney shopping centre is launching off the back of the precinct’s Fusion Fest event held earlier this year. Marvel at this free exhibition’s four bespoke sculptures that use everyday fashion (as well as a few unexpected items) to recreate some of the tastiest food you can find on Broadway Sydney L2.

The sculptures – a burger, a salad, a piece of sushi and a cupcake – were created by Simone Chua and Renzo B. Larriviere of Amigo & Amigo (best known for their light installations at Vivid Sydney) in conjunction with creative agency, the Gallery. Each hand-made piece was inspired by the menus of L2’s eateries such as Grill’d, Soul Origin, Burger Project, Sushi Hon, Sumo Salad, Passiontree Velvet and Merchants of Ultimo, as well as L2’s fashion and beauty precinct. So if the artworks make you feel a bit peckish you can always pick up an edible counterpart to enjoy.

To celebrate the new exhibition Broadway Sydney is holding a ‘20/20’ promotion. Spend $20 on food at any L2 eatery and get a $20 gift card to spend on fashion and beauty. For full details visit Broadway Sydney. The Fusion Art Series runs July 20-August 13.
