Time Out says

Newly opened Lyons Gallery in Paddington is getting into the spirit of Mardi Gras, with a new exhibition featuring some widely admired photographs and pop culture pieces from world-renowned photographers including Terry O’Neill and Michael Moebius.

The gallery, opened by ‘Mr. Paparazzi’ Darryn Lyons, who has been collecting celebrity photographs for 30 years, is holding the exhibition over Mardi Gras weekend, where visitors can enjoy striking images like the Queen blowing bubblegum, Elton John in his flamboyant costumes and, of course, Dame Edna Everage to complete the collection of queer icons on show.

Also in the collection are photographs from legendary celebrity photographers Douglas Kirkland and Norman Parkinson, as well as more contemporary duo Formento + Formento, who specialise in staged portraits from eras past.

Oxford Street is only a ten minute walk away, so you can pop in and start celebrations early with a complimentary glass of bubbly during the viewing.
