Time Out says

Ten of the Chinatown director’s best films return to the big screen in December

The work of Roman Polanski – dark, dangerous, perverse, unpredictable – is difficult to separate from the Polish-born director’s personal history. A holocaust survivor who made it big in Hollywood, whose wife was murdered by a crazed cult, and whose statutory rape of a young model still looms over his head, Polanski is a troubled and troubling figure who has overcome adversity to make several film masterpieces.

The Chauvel, in association with the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, is screening ten of the best Polanski films in December, along with the documentary on Polanski’s life and crimes, Polanski: Wanted and Desired.

So what's showing? Here are the ten movies, ranked and reviewed – the top six are must-sees.
