Time Out says

Spring into action these school holidays with a sports program that kids of all ages will love

With the weather finally clearing up and the days slowly getting longer, we bet there are plenty of kids right across Sydney who have a bit of extra energy to burn this spring school holidays. Enter Sydney Olympic Park, with a sports and aquatic program that is guaranteed to get children of all ages up and moving.

The Quaycentre is where much of the team sport action will take place. Under the watchful eye of some of Sydney’s best coaches and professional athletes, your little ones can have a go at everything from basketball and netball to soccer and table tennis. It’s a wonderful opportunity to try something new and develop essential ball skills.

Make a splash over at the Aquatic Centre by enrolling your kids in the water polo or diving clinics. Both classes will cover off the basics of water safety, plus important techniques relevant to the sport – like ball handling and defending for water polo, and jumping and acrobatics for diving. If you’ve got a budding swim star on your hands there’s also an intensive swimming program to take part in, or for something more relaxed the all-day holiday recreational program includes some time to play in the pool, too.

And for something a bit different, there are archery workshops and laser tag – which are fully supervised and, most importantly, lots of fun. So if your kids are keen to get a taste of what it’s like to train like an Aussie champion, look no further than Sydney Olympic Park’s spring school holiday program.

Times and prices for the sessions vary depending on the sport. For more booking information, head to the website.
