Time Out says

Uncover the ins and outs of cancel culture with this late-night panel at the Justice and Police Museum

Step into the ‘dark side’ for a night of thought-provoking panel discussions, quirky cocktails, airbrush tattoos and performances at the Justice and Police Museum. After Dark: Boycott is the freshest addition to the museum’s special late-night event series and will bring together expert panellists to discuss the rise of cancel culture among Gen Z.

The museum will keep its doors open after 5pm on August 11 for this thrilling, adults-only experience, which will also grant you exclusive after-hours access to the museum’s cells, courtrooms, criminal collections and onsite bar.

On the evening, you’ll be joined by an expert panel who will delve into highly topical concepts of cultural boycotting, power imbalances, censorship, freedom of expression and navigating history in a modern-day context. Grab your thinking caps because they’re sure to challenge your current views on cancel culture, beginning with the big question of whether it’s a radical form of social justice or simply a biased way of censoring ideas.

The Justice and Police Museum’s late-night fun will be levelled up with eclectic cocktails from Archie Rose, airbrush tattoos from Tat Me Up, live performances and design posters at the Poster Centre.

After Dark: Boycott is proudly produced by the Museums of History NSW and supported by the NSW Government through the Culture Up Late Program. Tickets are $36 for members and $46 for the general public.
