Sydney is home to some pretty fascinating museums – places where you can learn about ships, time, military history, the police force and more.
Major museums and historic houses of Sydney are shaking off the dust this year with a program of enthralling events
In case you’re wondering, Sydney Living Museums is the organisation that cares for 12 of the most important historic houses, gardens and museums in NSW on behalf of the people of NSW. Over the next six months, SLM is revamping its offering with new events and installations aimed at arts and culture fans.
These include extended night-time opening hours; evening music and talks with food and drink on hand; and exciting installations by major international artists presented in unusual contexts. The events offer the perfect opportunity to visit the Museum of Sydney, the Hyde Park Barracks and the Justice & Police Museum after hours and to see them in a new light. Find out more below.
