Lovers of Frenchy pop take note: free-spirited five-piece Paris Combo is performing in Sydney for one night only at City Recital Hall on Saturday March 18, 2017.
For over two decades Paris Combo have toured the world with their unique mix of swinging gypsy jazz, cabaret, French pop and Latino and Middle Eastern rhythms. After winning fans at their 2015 concert at City Recital Hall, the band are back in Australia to perform their favourite songs as well as tracks from their new album, Tako Tsubo.
Having formed in Paris in the early 1990s, the group honed their eclectic sound performing in cafés and barges along the Seine. Charismatic chanteuse Belle du Berry leads the line-up of bassist Benoit Dunoyer de Segonzac, drummer-vocalist François Jeannin, guitarist Potzi and Australian trumpeter-keyboardist David Lewis.
It will be only their second time in 15 years that they’ve brought their seductive sounds to Sydney.
