Time Out says

Join this joyful party instead of dancing at home without a date

Are you dancing with yourself this Valentine’s Day? You’re probably crushing the solo choreography, but don’t waste those moves on your mirror, show them off on the dancefloor at the Oxford Art Factory.

This house of sound is throwing a free anti-Valentine’s Day disco to celebrate your independence and renounce the commercialisation of love. Well, they’re mostly doing it for a fun time, but whatever your motivation to dance, you’re sure to have a ball at this Friday night party.

The tunes will be plucking heartstrings with the lyrical genius of Justin Bieber – it may be too late to say sorry – keeping love alive with Kylie’s discography of musical romance, talking heartbreak with Robyn, and getting to the serious ‘work’ with Rihanna.

This one is for the heartsick night owls, with doors opening at 11pm. Entry is free, but you’ll want to register ahead of time as Sydney’s cynical souls will be fanging for tickets.
