To mark Iftar, the evening meal that breaks the daily Ramadan fast for Muslims, Balmain favourite Efendy is offering a special menu through the month of Ramadan. From dusk (5pm), the Turkish restaurant will be serving up a series of hearty, hunger-killing dishes, including an Iftar plate of dried fruit, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, barrel aged feta, kashar cheese and pastirma, a soup of the day and a charcoal board featuring grilled spicy sujuk, Adana style lamb kebap, chicken thigh fillet, beef and pistachio kofte, lamb ribs, tandir bread with grilled vegetables as well as cracked wheat bulgar pilav. If, after all that, you still have some room left, indulge in a dessert platter of Turkish delight, apple tea and Turkish coffee.
The four course feast will be available every Wednesday to Sunday between 26 May and 24 June for $58 per person.
