Author of The Queen of the Night and Edinburgh, Alexander Chee is also the creator of a collection of essays exploring his education as a man, writer and activist. In How to Write an Autobiographical Novel Chee looks at his identity as a Korean American, gay man, artist and activist. He examines his father’s death and the AIDS crisis to moonlighting as a Tarot card reader. At Sydney Writers’ Festival, Chee will chat with the founder of The Lifted Brow, Ronnie Scott, about how we form our identities in work and art.
