Time Out says

Explore an enchanted forest then show off your moves on the ice

For two weeks in July, Darling Harbour puts on a winter wonderland with ice-skating, a snow pit, fireworks and breathtaking ice-skating performances. This year they’ll have their largest ever ice rink, presented by Nova 96.9 – tickets ($10-$22) are now available.

If you want to learn how to master the ice, book in for a Learn to Skate lesson. Sessions run 9am-10am every day for both children and adults, and you can book online in advance ($26).

You can make snow angels in the Cool Yule Snow Pit, which is found under Pyrmont Bridge, and tickets cost $8.50 for a 20-minute session (10am-5.50pm, daily).

The Frozen Forest will be a free backdrop for interactive storytelling sessions and activities, presented by Monkey Baa and Darling Quarter. There’ll be free performances from top figure skaters at the Stars On Ice show (daily, 12.45pm). Plus, there’ll be fireworks on the first three Saturday nights in July, starting at 8.30pm.

If that’s not enough to entertain you or the kids, there’ll be a Cool Yule Selfie Station for you featuring virtual penguins and snow. And, there’s a Ferris wheel decorated in icicles and silver snowflakes (10am-11pm, $8 per ride).
