Get ready to channel the outlandish decadence of the '80s at Chin Chin when Sydney artist Frida Las Vegas takes to the restaurant's basement for an experiential dining residency. Along with some help from Valiant Events, Chin Chin's interiors will be transformed with Frida Las Vegas' signature bright acrylic artworks, which have earned her a legion of fans including, Katherine Sabbath, Kate Miller Heidke and Katy Perry. The pop art excessiveness will be matched by a menu of Chin Chin favourites, which play with bold and spicy flavours, along with cocktails designed specifically for the evening, including the Frida-tini with Midori, gin, Luxardo Maraschino, absinthe, lemon and egg white. Expect the space to be totally immersed in the fabulous megawatt glamour of 1980s Sydney, and guests are whole-heartedly (but not required) to whip out some shoulder pads and stilletos and dress for the occasion. Booking is essential – make sure you mention Frida Las Chin Chin when booking – and you can choose the $69.50 set menu or order a la carte.
