The Ethics Centre is presenting a fierce debate on August 28 on a topic we’re all invested in – energy. Speakers with polarised opinions from the oil and gas industry and supporting MPs are going up against a renewables expert and an environment reporter to debate the motion: “It’s too soon to ditch fossil fuels”.
You’ll hear from Cecile Wake, vice president of Shell Australia’s commercial investments, and Josh Manuatu, president of the Young Liberal Movement of Australia, plus renewables expert Ketan Joshi, and the Guardian Australia’s Lisa Cox.
The Ethics Centre is an independent organisation based in Sydney in its 25th year, which strives to bring respectful conversations about real problems to the masses. They’re also the folks partly responsible for the hugely successful Festival of Dangerous Ideas, so they know what they’re doing when it comes to inspiring thought and action.
Have your burning questions ready for the panel, as there’s sure to be a fiery Q&A session at the end.
