One of the deciding clashes of the 2022 NRL season takes place at Sydney Olympic Park this Saturday, as two heavyweight clubs meet in a Grand Final rematch.
Reigning champs the Penrith Panthers, led by superstar halfback Nathan Cleary, take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Accor Stadium, and there are no second chances. The Panthers are just one win away from the NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final and the opportunity to make it back-to-back season victories.
But nothing’s written in stone. The Rabbitohs are also in good form – they rose from seventh on the ladder to their fifth consecutive preliminary final, having defeated their arch rivals the Sydney Roosters and also laid waste to the second-placeholders the Cronulla Sharks. Dynamo fullback Latrell Mitchell holds the key to the Bunnies' hopes, and as last year’s defeated finalists they will be out for revenge.
Be there for history in the making and to cheer on the Panthers or the Rabbitohs. The gates open at 6pm for a 7.50pm kickoff.
