Grab your pooch for a free and fun day out down in Camden

A bunch of four-legged friends will descend on Camden’s Bicentennial Equestrian Park for a day of playing, panting and performing for Paws in the Park.

Paws in the Park sees dog owners and lovers gather for a series of dog demonstrations, free vet checks and more than 40 market stalls with goodies for both woofers and owners.

Competitions kick off at 10am, with dogs judged for best trick, cutest puppy, best fancy dress, best trick, waggiest tail and best dressed dog in footy colours. Demonstrations in obedience and agility will also take place, as well as a game of flyball, which is a doggy team sport where pups compete in running, jumping and fetching relays beside their owners.

There will be a photo booth so you’ll be able to nab a desk-worthy snap of you and your pooch, as well as discounted microchipping, a jumping castle and for a dollar coin donation you can nab a Royal Canin show bag. Three-kilometre and five-kilometre walks will take place as well, with owners and dogs able to raise their heart rate with a walk around the Camden park.

Paws in the Park aims to encourage and celebrate responsible pet ownership, so Don't Stop Retrievin'
