Author and critical theorist Sarah Sentilles will lead a conversation about how art – both the creation and experience of it – can help us heal from violent incidents. The evening will unravel questions raised in her recent non-fiction work Draw Your Weapons, addressing the impact of individuals in an aggressive society, and how art humanises and provides a sense of hope.
Hosted by the School of Life – an international organisation aiming to improve society’s emotional intelligence – the talk will encourage audiences to think in more abstract terms about art and connect with those around them.
