Time Out says

This Inner West pub's famous Sunday sessions return with a smoky, spicy weekend bonanza

The Erko Hotel has made a name for itself for all things smoked, grilled and charred with its regular 'Smokehouse Sundays'. Each weekend sees the spotlight shift to settle on a different cuisine's barbecue techniques, with a freshly curated menu each Sunday devoted to a new culture of grilling.

Previous Sundays have honoured the traditions of Canada Day, with grills of brisket paired with loaded poutine, the Braai technique of barbecuing from South Africa, and a masterclass on jerk chicken done the Jamaican way, rubbed with spice and served with rice and beans.

From noon on Saturday and Sunday, July 11-12, the Erko is bringing together some of its big-hitter recipes for a whole weekend of all things smoked: think jerk chicken skewers, Boerewors scroll sausages, brisket burgers, and vegan enchiladas. Plus, you'll get to tame some of the intensity with a cool brew of 4 Pines beers for just $10 all weekend. Book online now for your spot.
