Time Out says

The name of this race day says it all really. The Everest is the pinnacle of Everest Carnival, and following its record-breaking crowds last year, the day is set to be an action-packed day of racing, fashion, fun, food and frivolity.

As the richest race on turf, the event will feature 12 horses from across the world, all vying for $14 million to be won in little over a minute. Along with the huge prize pool, the winner will also lay claim to the 27kg, 7,777-black-diamond-encrusted trophy following the race.

To match the talent on the track, Kelly Rowland is flying in to perform a post-racing concert, following in the steps of Jason Derulo (2017) and Liam Payne (2018). DJ Nat Sax will be spinning tunes in Pony Palms, a Palm-Springs inspired marquee open to all general admission guests. You can even book your own poolside cabana.

Racegoers have the opportunity to express their individual style at Harrold’s Fashion Chute. Sophistication, individuality and creativity are key to taking home some big prizes. Revellers won’t go hungry or thirsty at the track this spring, thanks to a wide range of Sydney’s finest food trucks. Expect mouth-watering burgers from Chur Burger, gourmet woodfired pizza from local favourite Lucio’s Pizzeria, Asian delights by Trinhy’s Vietnamese Yum Cha, and much more. The Estate, Royal Randwick’s new, luxurious trackside precinct, will host French culinary maestro Guillaume Brahimi, who will be whipping up a feast.

As the richest race on turf, the day is all about dressing to the nines, so get your shoes polished, your fascinators primped and your outfits ready for the pinnacle race of Everest Carnival.
