Time Out says

Chinatown's streets are set to turn into a dance-floor for this alfresco event

If there's anything we need after a year where dancefloors were banished only to the fantasy realm, it's a full-on, outdoor dance party. One of the events that's pricked our ears? Wanna Dance, an outdoor celebration taking over the streets of bustling Chinatown and Haymarket and filling them with bright rave lights, tunes and stalls.

This interactive art-installation-cum-alfresco-dancefloor runs all day and into the night. During daylight hours you can try out tai chi, workout sessions and learn some ballroom moves. At night, three 'dance vents' will pump out tunes and gyrating disco lights to bring the laneway alive. A notable Sydney DJ will take you through a curated mix of C-Pop, K-Pop and so much more. It's a family-friendly event – and it's totally free.

It's set to be an open-access zone for all the nights of Sydney Solstice, and will include six nights of curated dance performances and demos by some of emerging and exciting dancers from around the city. Head around the back of the Museum of Chinese in Australia to find the d-floor. Check timings and find out more here.
