Time Out says

Western Sydney is home to a fantastic rainbow of cultures, communities and traditions worth celebrating. West fest is a two-week festival that does just that, bringing together the region’s diverse community and inviting Sydney to engage and share in their heritage.

You’ll find culture kicks across Western Sydney form October 6-21, with workshops, tours, market days and talks celebrating and investigating local businesses and identities as well as the heritage of the diverse cultures of local residents.

The big festival day kicks things off on October 6 with a program of live interactive art, music, cinema and food held in the heart of Parramatta. As the festivities rolls on, you can explore local eateries with Tates Cultural Food Tours, head to seminars about heritage management, visit significant Indigenous sites with a local guide, hear impassioned poetry slams, or get involved in creative workshops.
