This series of live talks investigates how scientific advancements and emerging technologies are changing the way we live: how we communicate, get around, run businesses, supply health services and tackle global issues. Beyond this, it'll explore gravitational waves, black holes, dark matter and time travel. You know, the big stuff.
Kip Thorne – a theoretical physicist who was awarded the Nobel Prize in his field in 2017 – will join forces on this scientific expedition with astronomer Alan Duffy and British comedian Robin Ince, who’s known for co-hosting the Infinite Monkey Cage beside physicist and television personality, Brian Cox. This approachable panel will make complex ideas digestible to a broad audience as they tour Australia's east coast.
