Last autumn, Tokyo Disneyland opened its long-awaited new section titled Fantasyland, and Tokyo Disneysea is following suit with a brand new extension of its own. The coastal theme park is expanding its grounds with a ¥250 billion project called Fantasy Springs. However, there's a bit of a wait as the new area is only scheduled to open in 2023.

The Northern European-inspired section will lean heavily on a fairy-tale theme, featuring the worlds of ‘Peter Pan’, ‘Tangled’ and ‘Frozen’. Along with four new attractions, Fantasy Springs will also come with three restaurants, a souvenir shop and a hotel.

Two of the attractions will be dedicated to Peter Pan’s Neverland. You can join the Lost Boys on a boat ride adventure to rescue John who was kidnapped by pirates, or explore Tinkerbelle’s home in Pixie Hollow.

There will also be a ride for ‘Tangled’ fans, where you’ll be sailing leisurely along a calm river and experience the iconic Lantern Festival that brought Rapunzel and Flynn Rider closer to each other.
Finally, relive the adventures of Anna, Elsa and Kristof at a Frozen-themed ride. This is where you can come face to face with the magnificent castle in the kingdom of Arandelle.
Love theme parks? Japan's the place to be. The highly anticipated Ghibli Park will be fully open in 2023 as well as the new Harry Potter attraction in Tokyo.
