Hakuba isn't just for skiers and snowboarders. During the green season from late spring to autumn, the climate is delightfully mild, making it a popular camping destination for outdoor lovers to enjoy crystal clear rivers and breathtaking views of the Japanese alps. While the ski slopes in the area are known to stay open till April, this new glamping facility will give you one more reason to plan a trip to Hakuba this spring.

Baffling name aside, From P Hakuba is easily one of the most picturesque glamping sites in Nagano, with warmly lit igloo tents that look out into the surrounding greenery. Because the site is set in the centre of the Hakuba Happo-One ski resort, From P is a good option for those who want the experience of glamping in the mountains while remaining within walking distance of cafés, restaurants and hot springs. There are even tennis courts nearby for the months when there isn't any snow on the ground.

Apart from the location, one of From P's most exciting perks is that the site is equipped with four Finnish-style saunas for guests to catch some extra rest and relaxation after a long day of outdoor adventures. Moreover, one of the five tents also comes with its own outdoor hot tub.

While some of the businesses in the area close at the end of the ski season, you won't have to worry too much about finding places to eat because the accommodation packages include breakfast and dinner. All the dishes are made with seasonal local produce, with offerings like pork shabu shabu (hot pot of thinly sliced meat) and soba noodles with wild greens for dinner, and open sandwiches and Spanish omelette for breakfast.
