Stores in 13 prefectures, including Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, are reopening. Here are the new rules for safe coffee sipping

After closing stores in Tokyo and 12 other prefectures due to Covid-19 coronavirus, Starbucks Japan is starting to reopen its outlets, albeit with a heavy dose of social distancing measures.
The coffee chain's locations in 13 prefectures are finally back in business as of Tuesday May 19. In eight prefectures – Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama, Osaka, Kyoto, Hokkaido and Hyogo – the reopened stores will only offer takeaway. Most cafes will also have shorter hours (closing at 7pm). However, selected outlets that are located in department stores will remain closed for now.
Before you rush out to get your venti Frappuccino, these are some rules you'll need to follow when you visit your local Starbucks.
So if you’re in a group of two or more, just send one person in to make the order.
Unfortunately, reusable cups are still banned. This is to decrease the risk of the virus spreading.
Otherwise, they might turn you away and you’ll be back home with no coffee.
There'll be bottles of sanitiser placed at the front of each store, so make sure to use it before entering.
Especially while you're queuing.
It should go without saying, but it's better to skip your coffee trip than risk causing an outbreak.
If you’re worried about handling cash, Starbucks recommends using the official app to pay for your coffee. This will help reduce direct contact.
