Ready to crown 2017's best mac and cheese in Chicago? You'll need to grab tickets to the Mac n' Cheese Smackdown presented by Time Out Chicago. We've challenged the city's best restaurants to offer creative takes on the cheesy classic in the ultimate showdown to crown Chicago's top macaroni. You'll get to taste your way through samples of all the mac and cheese dishes, two beers from Forbidden Root and Revolution Brewing and vote on the your favorite cheese-drenched creation. Here are just a few of the delicious dishes that will be featured at the Mac n' Cheese Smackdown.

- A tasting from every mac & cheese restaurant
- 2 complimentary beers provided by Forbidden Root and Revolution Brewing
- DJ Windy Timmy spinning tunes
Participating restaurants include:
- Pastoral Artisan Cheese, Bread & Wine
- Coco's Famous Fried Lobster
- Old Town Social
- New Line Tavern

- Luella's Southern Kitchen
- The Pasta Bowl Wicker Park
- Grand Lux Cafe
Sessions:
- Session 1: 11:30am – 1:30pm
- Session 2: 2:00 – 4:00pm
- Session 3: 4:30 – 6:30pm
