Time Out says

Hussein’s two definitive untitled semi-abstract works on canvas from 1973 and 2001 are just a pair of the highlights on show at the fourth instalment of the successful art auction series by Henry Butcher Art Auctioneers. Also of note are Abdul Latiff Mohidin’s rare ‘Samarkand 3’ and ‘Landscape’ pieces, which will be appearing on public view and auction for the first time this month, as well as Anuar Rashid’s complex 1979 untitled oil on canvas painting.

The additions of Syed Thajudeen, Sivarajah Natarajan, Raja Shariman and Jegadeva Anurendra, among 12 Henry Butcher Art Auction Malaysia debutants, contribute to an eclectic field of artists and works that are bound to attract collectors and enthusiasts alike. Batik aficionados can also look forward to a section dedicated to the revered art form, with three gems from batik art pioneer Dato’ Chuah Thean Teng joined by several highly rated pieces from the likes of Khalil Ibrahim and Ismail Mat Hussein. Catch a glimpse of the 91 much sought after works at the preview before the auction commences on October 28 at Sime Darby Convention Centre. Wong Boon Ken
