The Spirits Play

Presented by Nyoba-kan and the Society of Malaysian Contemporary Composers (SMCC), 'The Spirits Play' is a cross-media production featuring choreographers, composers, artists, dancers and musicians from Germany, Malaysia, Japan and Indonesia. The story follows five spirits trapped in limbo, whose paths cross as they struggle to find their way back home. Along the way they share each others' terrifying stories and memories of war, engulfed in tremendous guilt and pain. The play is based on a script by the late award-winning Singaporean playwright Kuo Pao Kun.
