Sometimes, you just need to get a good bottle of wine at a decent price, or liquor at affordable rates. Here’s where you can get them.

Bottles & Bottles

Bottles & Bottles

It’s great whenever you come across a store that offers a large variety of wines (in addition to beers and spirits), but all of that doesn’t matter if you don’t know the difference between a sauvignon blanc and a chardonnay. At Bottles & Bottles, you can always rely on excellent advice (and service). Experts here will select the most ideal choice for you based on your tastes and preferences. Take your time at the dedicated area where you can sit and taste the different wines before making your purchase.

LG-228, The Gardens Mall, Lingkaran Syed Putra, Mid Valley City, KL (03 2287 3928/fb.com/BottlesAndBottles). Daily, 10am-10pm.

TMC Bangsar

TMC Bangsar

Who would’ve guessed that one of the best places to score a sweet deal with wines would be inside a TMC store? Don’t underestimate this place – it has a lot more to offer than you might think, and at prices you wouldn’t find anywhere else. Those in the know often buy wines in bulk here, leaving with crates instead of bottles. It’s a heaven for those who enjoy the more-than-occasional wine but are unwilling to pay at absurdly high prices.

Lucky Garden, 23-27, Lorong Ara Kiri 1, Bangsar (03 2094 8646). Daily, 8am-10pm.
