Sitting atop Bangsar Village II is Mantra Bar KL, the city’s newest rooftop watering hole that boasts an alfresco deck with panoramic views of the surrounding neighbourhood and a long bar that commands your view as you walk in.
Traditional cocktails here are flourished with Asian twists and flavours. Go for the Pulau Panjang, Mantra’s take on the classic Long Island with calamansi. It’s served kopitiam-style in a plastic bag in a stainless steel cup, something different from the typical cocktail or highball glass. Or the Mekong Sunset, a Southeast Asian-inspired cocktail of bourbon, orange juice, honey, calamansi and kaffir lime leaf.
For bites, choose from a selection of tapas with Asian influences; think mantau sliders with pulled beef or lobster, or crispy whitebait fish with sambal and a Japanese onsen egg.
Mantra has a comfortable, cosy vibe that is warm and inviting. There are tables and high stools as well as plush sofas both indoors and out on the deck where you can lounge about with a cocktail in hand. Perfect for unwinding after a long day at work or hanging out with friends on the weekend.

Friends, i am not the kind to bother with bad service, especially when it comes to F and B. I suppose everyone can understand why, we shouldnt complain about any establishment that serves us food and drinks. But this time, i believe i must. I am disappointed with Mantra the new rooftop bar above bangsar village 2. Service was appalling apart from the fact that one of its waiters poured a cocktail drink all over a friends' dress and bag, we had to haggle for them to pay for dry cleaning bills and restitution, 3 friends did not receive their drinks, we had to ask for water several times before they brought the water and did not bring the glasses. When they served food, it did not come with cutleries. Had to ask for them. We repeatedly asked for napkins and eventually had to take it ourselves. We asked for them to serve the cake that had been delivered to them and they served it w its box. But great thing is they brought plates but were short of forks. But these were not the worst. We accept that mistakes happen, but when we complained to its manager Warren he handled it with intimidation. Very disappointing indeed. I organised this birthday celebration and have been promoting the place to everyone, but the arrogance of the manager leaves all 10 of us with a bitter after taste. Disgusting that though we've paid our attached bill he tried to stiff us with another bill of a more inflated amount out of shere spite. Very unprofessionally handled indeed!
