This month, break old habits and go beyond your comfort zone. To help you with that, we travelled outside the city for good food, we spoke to KLites who broke the career mould and found success, and we explored unusual ingredients in high-end beauty products.

While KL is home to some of the country’s best restaurants and street food, there are eateries beyond the city limits that are worth driving out for. Among the places covered in our food-filled road trip feature include an organic chicken farm, a traditional toddy brewery and an eatery that specialises in smoked duck.

Thinking of changing your career? Be inspired by these KLites who’ve dared to give up their day job to do work that brings joy to them and meaning to others.

The nation’s upcoming 60th Merdeka Day had us feeling a little nostalgic, leading us to explore the living legacies of KL’s culinary scene. We also spoke to Davina Goh about her favourite vegan eating spots in the Valley.

For our Shopping & Style section, we checked in on some of the bizarre ingredients that go into high-end beauty products, while in Body & Mind national gymnast Farah Ann Abdul Hani speaks to us about staying mentally strong.

In our Travel section, Australian food entrepreneurs who’ve set up their cafes and restaurants in KL tell us about their favourite places to dine and drink in the land Down Under.

We also go behind the scenes of the highly anticipated Good Vibes Festival, highlight the best art and theatre events, and more.
