We all know the frustrating feeling when the little ones just can’t seem to sit still during a movie. Worse still, when no amount of shushing can calm them down either. Well, parents needn’t worry anymore as MBO Cinemas have just launched MBO Kecil, a dedicated hall just for families and children.
This family-friendly hall – available only at MBO Cinemas in The Starling Mall – features creature comforts such as the Kecil Sofa Bed (quite generous in size actually, and comes with handy cup holders on its armrests), bean bags and even a playground! Yes, you read that sentence right. The space right beneath the screen is decked out with a colourful mural, play equipment and even a slide the kids can use to get down to the play area.

The hall is lit up during screenings if kids want to run about and for parents to keep an eye on them (while still being dark enough to enjoy a movie), the audio is a bit softer, there’s plenty of space in between the rows, and the play area is well padded. For parents with really young children, diaper changing facilities are conveniently available right outside the hall.

Of course, only family-friendly movies are screened in this hall. So now, parents don’t have to worry about keeping an active kid still during movie outings.
