This June we explore the restaurants, parks and activities that help you unwind after a hectic week of work. So put your feet up, have a cold one, and take a deep, calming breath.

Good things come to those who wait, especially when it comes to food. This month, we scoped out the city’s best places for aged steaks, barrel-aged cocktails and other slow-cooked traditional dishes that only get better with time. We also spoke to the guys behind Beato Steakhouse to find out more about the work that goes into ageing beef perfectly.

Feeling stressed out? Sneak in a break by heading over to one of the city’s parks, or find a bookstore where you can quietly contemplate about life. Or take a nap.

Learning something new can be fun, but also intimidating – especially if you’re an absolute newbie. If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to cook, do yoga or cycle about town but haven’t made that first step, we’ve got the perfect list of beginner-friendly classes and clubs that you can join.

In our Food section, we continue taking things easy with multi-course meals where you can linger over and take your time with. Plus, Ramadhan buffets to help those observing the fasting month to plan out their meals.

Spend some time with dear ol’ (or ‘young’, if he prefers to be called that) dad when Father’s Day rolls around on June 18 by bonding with him over a quick round of golf, a stroll in the park, or even a pub crawl.

We also predict the hits and misses of the blockbuster season with experienced critic Iain McNally, learn more about The Otherside Orchestra’s first album in ten years, and more.
