Get on your Firebolt or flip through your copy of Quidditch Through the Ages; Malaysia will be playing host to the first Asian Quidditch Cup this weekend. The tournament (set to be held biennially) will have three teams competing to become Asia's best Quidditch team. Competing teams for the match this weekend are Damansara Dementors, Subang Chimaeras and Australian National University Owls.

If you're in a magical mood, what with the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on July 31, make your way to the Quidditch pitch (read: USJ 11 football field in Subang) on July 30 and 31 to cheer on your team. Don your house colours (or get creative like Luna and wear a lion head cap).

Admission is free, so round up your sporty Potter-loving friends and watch the Quidditch match live – and end up on tenterhooks as you pray that your favourite Seeker catches the Snitch.

Saturday, July 30 from 8am to 6pm; Sunday, July 31 from 8am to 12noon, at Jalan USJ 11/5, Subang. For more info, visit the Asian Quidditch Cup Facebook page.
