Protest watch: #AtTheEdge

Stand up for press freedom and the people’s right to information at this gathering hosted by the Coalition for Press Freedom (CPF) and other media groups this Saturday, August 8. The protest demands for the suspension of The Edge and the blocking of the Sarawak Report website to be lifted, an end to the persecution of whistleblowers and the repealment of laws that restrict media freedom.

The protest will start at 11am, marching from Central Market to the Malaysian Bar Council. Colour for the day will be black and blue, symbolising the current condition of press freedom in Malaysia. If you can’t make it to the protest, sign the petition to show your support.
