'Persepolis' screening

AFKL invites Nicolas Ancion, fiction writer and comic book critic, to talk about the renewal of comic strips in French before the screening of ‘Persepolis’ – a French-Iranian-American animated film based on Marjane Satrapi’s autobiographical graphic novel of the same name. The coming-of- age film charts her life from a child to a rebellious punk-loving teenager – all set amid the growing tensions of the political climate in Iran between the ’70s and the ’80s.
