Instead of a buffet-style spread, the Japanese restaurant has an extensive à la carte menu for you to choose from, freshly prepared upon order. Highlights include yamakake (tuna with grated Japanese yam), geso wasabi (marinated squid leg with wasabi mayo), 13 types of sashimi like the shake toro (salmon belly) and kizushi shimesaba (spotted horse mackerel), as well as a selection of sushi and hand rolls, notably the soft shell crab and prawn tempura maki.
Follow those with grilled favourites such as the tempura moriowase (mixed seafood and vegetable), satoimo agedashi nameko orishi (deep fried battered Japanese yam with pearl mushroom), soft kani tempura (soft shell crab in batter), shishamo (grilled pregnant fish) and gyu shogayaki (beef sirloin with ginger sauce) or a teppanyaki dish. If you still have room for more, there's also variety of soups, rice, udon and soba noodles, vegetable sides and desserts.
