Makan Kitchen at DoubleTree by Hilton is offering a scrumptious high-tea menu every Saturday and Sunday from 12.30pm to 4.30pm. Created by Chef Azri and his team of speciality chefs, diners can tuck into a buffet spread offering over 60 local dishes. Items are served from its three live show kitchens that dish up food of popular Malay, Chinese, Indian to the more authentic Peranakan, Kristang (Malaccan-Portuguese) and Iban delights.
Tuck into Malaysian favourites such as Nasi Lemak Bungkus wrapped in banana leaf, or the comforting Sup Tulang Daging Utara, a Malay styled beef broth with herb and spices, curry puffs, Pisang Goreng (banana fritters) and Cucur Udang (prawn fritters). Also expect Satay (marinated chicken and beef skewers) served with the restaurant’s famed spicy peanut sauce. Making an unexpected appearance is their Ramly burger action station for authentic Malaysian burgers.
Families dining with children will find themselves right at home with Makan Kitchen’s very own dedicated Kids Corner. With activities that include sand art and crayon colouring sessions, parents can be rest assured that their young ones will be entertained.
