Located in a quiet enclave minutes from the city centre, Tamarind Springs is known for its traditional IndoChinese base to which, for its à la carte festive menu, the chef has infused Western flavours. Cold salmon tom yam soup with mangosteen sits alongside grilled scallops with Chinese parsley and passion fruit as appetisers. The main event features deep-fried soft-shell crab with apple sauce, grilled lamb with Laotian curry sauce, and steamed Laotian river lobster with tamarind. Finish off with deep-fried ice cream with chocolate and strawberry sauce, a highlight to look forward to.
