Jaya Grocer has teamed up with Flavours magazine and Gourmandines to organise a workshop series for the public in conjunction with The Week of Taste. There will be classes held from Oct 15 to Oct 20.
On Oct 15, there will be two free sessions in which participants can try their hand at making dishes like green curry chicken pot pie, noodle with spicy bolognese, pumpkin curried soup, Indonesian tamarind chicken, sweet and sour prawns and Thai yellow fish curry.
Snag a spot at one of the Oct 16 to Oct 18 classes for RM200 and receive a six-month subscription to Flavours magazine and a gourmet hamper. Chef Pedro from El Rincon restaurant will introduce participants to Spanish flavours on Oct 16 while Oct 17 sees French Chef Alex from Gourmandines teaching partipicants how to make pasta from scratch. Last but not least, La Vie En Rose's Chef Mickael will lead participants in making a number of breads and crêpes on Oct 18.
On Oct 20, there will be a free cooking demonstration on smoked salmon and spinach quiche.
Also running for the whole seven days of The Week of Taste, Jaya Grocer will be offering imported products from France, Italy and Spain ranging from butter and cheeses to premium canned fish and confectionery. You can sample these products from Oct 19 to 21.
