fono presents Rizal & the Rasendriya

Indonesian multi-instrumentalist Rizal Abdulhadi takes the stage at fono for a night of unique folk music. What makes Rizal's music special is that it's produced using his own handcrafted musical instrument which he calls the Rasendriya. It's made of bamboo and incorporates elements of a guitar, didgeridoo and celempung into one compact gizmo. When its sound is paired with Rizal’s musical talents, it allows him to be a pretty convincing one-man band. Rizal will also talk about his dedication to music and his innovations as an artist as well as a craftsman.
