The Rockawayfest series returns, this time with a double bill concert featuring US pop punk bands Boys Like Girls and Motion City Soundtrack. Boys Like Girls rose to fame with their 2006 self-titled debut album featuring hit singles 'The Great Escape and 'Thunder'; their sophomore album 'Love Drunk' soon followed, with their latest record 'Crazy World' due for release on July 17.
Minnesota five-piece Motion City Soundtrack are known for their unique blend of pop punk with moog synthesisers. Formed in 1997, the band's third full-length album 'Even if It Kills Me' was released in 2007 and debuted at number 16 on the Billboard 200 and number one on the Independent Albums chart, producing notable singles 'Broken Heart' and 'This is for Real'. Their fifth album 'Go' was released in early June this year. Supporting the two featured acts are local bands The Azenders, Lab The Rat and An Honest Mistake.
