Tchaikovsky and His Idol

‘The greatest prophet of music in whom are quenched all his predecessors,’ described Tchaikovsky of Mozart. The Russian maestro honoured Mozart with three compositions, which are featured in this performance by the MPO, conductor Paul McCreesh and cellist Stéphane Tétreault.
