If your perfect weekend involves beers, live footie on the big screen, pizza and barbecued steaks, SOULed Out Hartamas might be your new heaven. Having built an outdoor grill and kitchen late last year, the casual bar and restaurant launched a new ChillnGrill menu that features a range of grilled and tandoor meats, alongside wood-fired pizzas with a twist.

Fans of steak can start with thick cuts of grass- or grain-fed sirloin (360g), rib eye (300g) and tenderloin (200g). The cuts are priced at RM69 (grain-fed) and RM99 (grass-fed), and come with a choice of house-made sauces, dips and sides.

Also on the menu are pizzas that are… non-traditional, to put it mildly. For starters, the base of the oblong-shaped pizzas is made with beetroot, explaining the rusty red appearance – but don’t worry, it doesn’t bear any taste of beetroot. Aside from the usual Hawaiian, pepperoni and mushroom pizzas, there are Asian-inspired creations as well, like The Asiana (RM18) – topped with ikan bilis, nuts, sweet sambal sauce and coriander (just don’t call it a nasi lemak pizza) – and the Roasted Duck pizza (RM24), which incorporates a sweet-sour tamarind glaze, pineapples and crispy shallots.

This new ChillnGrill menu is only available at the SOULed Out Hartamas.
