Time Out says

Note: Capricorn KL is now closed.

Capricorn KL stands where The Butter Factory and Prodigy KL used to be. This club is located at the heart of the city, just a five-minute walk from Pavilion KL. If you’re driving along Jalan Kia Peng, it’ll be hard to miss this place, with its black exterior and huge ‘Capricorn’ sign. The interior is undeniably spacious and it has two floors. You’ll find the well-designed VIP area on the balcony-style second floor, which overlooks the ground floor, so you can get a good view of the crowd while maintaining your elusive mystique. The first floor is where you’ll find the spacious main dance floor and the main bar. We love the diamond-shaped DJ deck, which can be raised or lowered depending on what the night calls for. One thing about this venue that never changes is the air conditioning; it’s always extra chilly here, which means you won’t have to worry much about sweating.

The club invited The Stafford Brothers from Australia for its launch party in September which gave us the impression that it’s a promising place to party. So expect tunes like house, retro, hip hop and EDM pulsing from the speakers. The resident DJs here are Marc!, who’s known for combining visuals and sound together; DJ Edz, who uses the open-format concept; and MIO, who was previously a rapper before becoming a DJ. Ladies’ night happens every Wednesday while Capricorn’s other regular nights include Social Tuesdays, Thursday Flashback and Insomnia Fridays. Guest DJs rotate for #RAWR nights on Saturdays, which so far has featured Mr Fluff, DJ Reeve, Nick Haydez and more.
