Gravity Club KL presents The Chainsmokers

Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall make up The Chainsmokers – and unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past year, you’d have an opinion on the American electronic dance music producers-slash-songwriters. The duo, after all, is responsible for 2014’s ‘#Selfie’; more than anything, art imitating social media has viral potential from the getgo, and the success of the song single-handedly launched the boys’ career. It captured not just selfies and satire, but a moment in time that globally resonated with a generation; this was social engineering at its finest. Moving swiftly along, last August they followed up with second single ‘Kanye’ featuring sirenXX. Yes, it’s a song about Kanye West (‘We were terrified that Kanye would sue us for making this song.’). For their debut show in KL, expect cuttingedge beats, progressive pop and a night of thumps and bumps.
