Dutch DJ/producer Nicky Romero may be only 23 years old but he’s practically an old pro. Not only has he worked with the world’s most sought after DJs and artists like David Guetta, Tiësto, Avicii, Kelly Rowland and Usher, Romero also gained the mentorship of Fedde Le Grand.
After launching his own label Protocol Recordings and his debut single ‘WTF’, Romero’s multifaceted career took off like a rocket. His second single ‘Iron’, a collaboration with Scotland’s Calvin Harris, is a track filled with his signature Dirty Dutch sound and Harris’s electro-pop beat.
Now with a world radio premiere on Pete Tong’s Essential Mix under his belt, Romero is all set to be a modern age festival favourite. His electroacidic (but melodic) club getup is chart-savvy as well as critically acclaimed, making him one of the brightest young stars in the industry. In his turn on Zouk’s deck, Romero will be supported by Goldfish and Blink. Ian Loh
