Neighbourhood Thai restaurants usually suffer the fate of mediocrity, but this newcomer packs in the PJ crowd even on a weekday. Self-confessed foodies Joey Ban and Ada Foo set up the business for families and residents in the area, but don’t be surprised if you find yourself driving into the wilds of Damansara Jaya for a pot of green curry. The menu is a standard one, but go for the keng som fish, deep fried siakap dunked in a spicy assam-style sauce. Also on our recommendation list are the paku pakis belacan and papaya salad. If you’re inclined to order tom yam, the seafood version packs a spicy-sour punch as well as strikingly fresh prawns. Once you start heaving and puffing from the heat, the chilled lemongrass drink is the answer.
