Here’s where you can go for your next Japanese noodle fix. Opened in early 2015, Iwata has a wide range of Japanese noodles such as abura soba (soba served with refined oils instead of soup), udon, ramen and the oddly-spelled jah jan men (zhajiangmian). Add-ons the likes of sliced chicken char siew and ajitama egg pair well with the noodles at Iwata, which are freshly made every morning. If noodles won’t suffice, Iwata also does dishes such as Japanese salads (tofu sesame), fried rice and chicken wing dumplings.
