Time Out says

Note: LA/PA is now closed.

LA/PA has all the physical trappings of a modern cafe: full glass frontage, bare cement walls, white tiles, unvarnished tabletops for that natural wood veneer look, hanging shelves, and a scattering of potted plants for the Instagram crowd to use as props in their #instafood posts. It is bright and airy, cosy and casual.

There are ample choices on the food menu. Aside from the usual suspects of sandwiches, salads and pasta, you can also choose from mains such as pan-seared barramundi, duck confit and rack of lamb – and that’s when the menu gets a little pricey. Some of the interesting dishes on the menu include a basket of potato and sweet potato chips fried in duck fat, pear and apple brie sandwich, duck eggs in purgatory (in other words, a shakshouka) and quinoa burger. Yes, you’d find a limited selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes here.

The drinks options are even more extensive. They serve tea from TWG (the Holiday in New York sounds good: black tea, summer blossom berries with hints of coconut) while the coffee uses single origin beans from Artisan Roast. LA/PA serves the cheapest long black this part of Bangsar; though it’s the same price as the long black over at Artisan Roast in Bangsar Village II at RM6, the coffee is much better here. You might also want to try the Jerusalem – ice-cold carbonated coffee. It’s refreshing and tastes much like a cold brew, except it’s sweeter and has fizz. For non-caffeine drinkers, the milk bar is quite impressive; expect a long list of hot chocolates, yoghurt drinks and milkshakes.
